Much of the conversation about Social Development & Technology in the Global South, happens in inaccessible spaces globally & are often under-represented by our communities of practice.

So we are leveraging YOUTH MONTH, to create our first local event that promises to reshape intersectional conversations about youth empowerment, an honest look at our social development concerns & the ways in which technology can really serve those who need it most.

#SOYA24 is the brainchild of Citizen Code to get EVERYONE involved in exploring the power of technology to drive change in a way that serves us uniquely! Picture this: A Parliamentary style setting - with a twist hosted by Madame Speaker, the Wonderful Olwethu Nodada, Breakfast Show Host from Heart FM.

Let's re-imagine the future cabinets with our Appointed Ministers (& experts of their respected domains!) of realistic social issues who have no ties to any political party & will all present arguments for change. It's a rebellion from the usual way of running things!

Our prestigious panel of experts includes:

• Candice Chirwa as the Minister of Menstruation, 
• Dr Siya as the Minister of Digital Health 
• Lisa Adams as the Minister of the Internet
• With a more Ministers of Shame, HIV, Pleasure, Artificial Intelligence, Justice, Uncivil Society, Groove, etc.
